462 - 500

The 462 10-Band Equalizer is a graphic, fixed band, proportional Q design.  This means that as you increase the boost or cut of a particular frequency the Q adjusts from a broad to narrow.  It gives you the classic fixed EQ points of 31/63/125/250/500/1K/2K/4K/8K/16K.  The 462 is a general workhorse that will provide musical and defined EQ on any source material, but shines particularly on guitars, drums and vocals.  The circuit is based around a very low distortion line reciever, that feeds high-precision op-amps to drive the EQ circuit, then through a socketed op-amp (2520 format) into a custom wound Nickel/Steel output transformer for the ultimate sonic enhancement.
